Definition

The percent of 10th graders who reported feeling sad or hopeless for at least 2 or more consecutive weeks in the past 12 months.

Data Source

The data used for this measure come from the Washington State Healthy Youth Survey (HYS) which is conducted every two years. Data were retrieved in June 2024 from: http://www.askhys.net/.

S: Data have been suppressed due to low response rates (below 40% participation).

*Please use these estimates with caution. The total confidence interval (upper bound minus lower bound) of the percent estimate, is 10 percentage points or greater, which indicates that this estimate has a large margin of error.
