Definition
The unemployment rate is the annual average of people ages 16 and over who are without a job but are actively looking for employment. The unemployment rate is the number of unemployed as a percent of the entire civilian labor force. The civilian labor force (the denominator) includes persons who are unemployed and looking for work. The annual figures reported here are not seasonally adjusted.
This indicator is stratified by Alaska Public Health Region.
