Mother’s education level is the percentage of total births to women with less than a high school diploma.

Data are self-reported at the time of the infant’s birth.

The year indicated is the mid-year of a five-year period of data. The data are self reported at the time of the infant's birth and reported by mother's residence not the place of the infant's birth.
