Number and average annual percent of the civilian labor force that does not have a job, has actively looked for work in the prior four weeks, and is currently available for work. Not seasonally adjusted.

This is also referred to the U-3 Unemployment Rate.

Notes

The U-3 unemployment rate does not capture individuals working part-time for economic reasons or those who have temporarily ceased job searching in the past four weeks due to discouragement or other personal factors.
