Students Changing Schools (1993–2020)

Definition

A count and percentage of K-12 student transfers into and out of schools in other districts and between schools within a district. Students who transfer more than once in a school year are counted each time they transfer. Schools are assigned to the county where their district offices are located, and data is presented by calendar year.

The data year represents the first portion of the school year, e.g., data for 2006 is for school year 2006-07, etc.
