Number- live births weighing less than 2,500 grams (5. pounds).
Percent - live births with birth-weight less than 2,500 grams per 100 live births.
Data Source
Live births 2001-2023: Bureau of Family Health, Louisiana Department of Health.
Notes
LNE (Low Number Event) - numbers are not reported when there were more than zero and fewer than five events during the reporting period. Rates based on fewer than 20 events were not reported prior to 2015.
