Number - population by child and adult categories.

Percent -  share of the population belonging to the child or adult categories.
Data for 1980, 1990, 2000, 2010 and 2020 reflect official Census counts from April 1 of the stated year, while data for 2001 through 2019 reflect population estimates for July 1 of the stated year. Data presented for 2001 through 2009 are Vintage 2009 population estimates. Data presented for 2011 through 2019 are Vintage 2019 population estimates. Data presented for 2021 through 2024 are Vintage 2024 population estimates. Each year the U.S. Census Bureau revises its post-census estimates. Therefore, data presented here may differ from previously published estimates.
