Definition

Number and percentage of children living below poverty level by race and ethnicity.

People who were institutionalized, people in military group quarters, people in college
dormitories, and unrelated individuals under 15 years old were excluded from poverty rates.

All categories except "Whites alone, not Hispanic or Latino" include Hispanic and Latino children.

Table numbers for each category:

B17001A: White

B17001B: Black

B17001C: American Indian/Alaskan Native

B17001D: Asian

B17001E: Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander

B17001f: Some other race

B17020G: Two or more races

B17001H: White alone, not Hispanic or Latino

B17020I: Hispanic or Latino
