Definition

Total number of unduplicated children eligible to receive child care subsidy in May of that fiscal year State Fiscal Year (July 1 - June 30). We use point in time data instead of fiscal year for this indicator. Started a new series in 2019.

Data for the following localities are combined (C):Alleghany/Covington; Augusta/Staunton/Waynesboro; Chesterfield/Colonial Heights; Fairfax County/Fairfax City/Falls Church; Greensville/Emporia; Henry/Martinsville; Roanoke County/Salem; Rockbridge/Buena Vista/Lexington; Rockingham/Harrisonburg; York/Poquoson. Numbers less than 10 are suppressed.
