Definition
Data
refer to the percentage of students scored on-track or
mastered (met or exceeded) in TNReady tests. TNReady is a part of Tennessee Comprehensive
Assessment Program (TCAP) designed for 3rd to 8th grade students. The Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program (TCAP) is the standardized testing program used in public school in Tennessee.
Data Source
Tennessee Department of Education.
Notes
State data includes state special schools. Due to the suspension of testing in grade 3-8 no accountability determinations were made for the 2015-16 school year.
From 2016-17 TNReady exams were redesigned and scores were published in 4 categories: Below, Approaching, On-track and Mastered. Data in this indicator reflect the students' percentage who scored on-track or mastered in TNReady exams. The reminder (100-present score) shows the students' percentage who scored below or approaching. Score related to on-track and mastered in 2016-17 somewhat correspond to proficient and advanced score reported in previous years.
From 2021-22 the State Board of Education is named as Tennessee Public Charter School Commission.
