Over time, data on match results, team performance metrics and various other indicators have been collected, offering a comprehensive picture of the development of the English football landscape over more than two decades. This extensive dataset has been used to identify and observe trends in player movement and performance, team recruitment decisions, tactical approaches across clubs and many more variables. As such it provides invaluable information to academics both within and outside the field of sport studies.
