The Duolingo Language Report resents latest language trends & learner behaviour
Dataset Description
The Duolingo Language Report includes information about learners who studied languages on Duolingo. The data was aggregated by country or by language to ensure learner privacy. Country aggregations are based on internationally-recognized, independent, self-governing entities as outlined here. Age and motivation data are self-reported, and learners under 13 were excluded from all analyses. Also to the end of protecting learner privacy, rankings exclude countries where there are fewer than 5,000 Duolingo learners.
Explore the evolution of language popularity across countries with this time-series CSV dataset! It reveals the top 2 languages spoken in each country over multiple years, making it perfect for tracking trends, analyzing shifts, and fueling research. Dive into the data and uncover the fascinating dynamics of language change on a global scale!
