MTG - All Cards

This dataset was created to help learn more about the popular trading card game, Magic: The Gathering, from a data analytics perspective. All the MTG cards ever printed are available here (with some duplication - data cleaning is always necessary to get data in a working state!), with extensive metadata and context available, like official rulings, legalities, sets, reprints, timeshifts, etc. - as well as the regular card information that is available on each card by default.

From this data, we can look to answer some questions about the MTG trading card game that are not easily approachable without data analytics - for example, how many cards does each color have? What creature subtypes are most common for each color? Who are the most prolific artists in MTG? What are the most common words used in card names? In card rules text? In flavor text? Which cards have caused the most headaches in tournaments - measured by the cards with the most rulings to define their function in the game more precisely?
