Context
The Prouni - Programa Universidade para Todos (University for All Program) is an initiative created by the Brazilian government in 2005 with the objective to support students with full or partial scholarships to study in private universities.
To be able to apply for this program the student has to fulfill the following:

Minimum wage in Brazil as of October 2021:
- BRZ 1,100.00 ~ USD 204.87
Besides that the students must not have an university degree, must have participated in the latest Enem (national exam for federal university's application) and reach a minimum score in it.
Content
This dataset contains data from 2005 until 2019 showing details about the students who got scholarships.
Inspiration
Much before I started working with Data Science I aspired for a more transparent way for people to interact with politics and I always believed that having access to more and more data in a simple way would help achieve this. So I consider this a step towards this goal.
Disclaimer
Part of the dataset contains columns in which the texts are in Brazilian Portuguese and it could be difficult for certain types of analysis (E.g. 'NLP') since there could be a language barrier, but it is also a possible challenge for it to be translated.
