Let's say an ad agency such as TripAdvisor wants to know which National Parks to promote through advertising. After a quick google search, I find the National Park Service 'NPS' has visitation numbers available through their NPS Stats database. I combined the (.csv) downloaded datasets into a google sheet, added state information then transposed the data to have all information needed on each row. I was able to upload the dataset to a Tableau public workbook and create visualizations with the data. The results are six parks had over 4,000,000 recreational visitations in the year 2021, and those would likely be the best picks for advertising based on popularity.
