Measurements fm experiments using domestic biodigestors by prof Jackson Milano

Dataset Description

This dataset was granted by professor Jackson Milano, from Universidade Positivo, as part of his essay with BGS domestic biodigestors, in a ranch, for 14 months, experimenting 4 different biodigestor configurations to obtain continuous biogas production from cow manure all over the year in south of Brazil.

About the settings and tests

Settings used on his experiments:

  • bio 1: biodigestor 1 straight to the ground with NO insulation
  • bio 2: biodigestor 2 insulated from the ground

Timeline of tests/settings and main events:

  1. test 0: may21 - oct21 (bio1)
  2. test 1: nov21 - feb21 (bio1 + bio 2 installation)
  3. test 2: 22-mar-06 to 22-mai-06 (bio 1 + bio 2 + gas recirculation 20s/hour)
  4. test 3: 22-mai-07 to 22-jul-07 (bio 1 + bio 2 + gas recirculation 40s/hour)

File information

Column names and general information:

  • Data: date
  • Hora: hour
  • umidAmb: air humidity (Umidade ambiente)
  • tempAmb: air temperature in celsius (temperatura ambiente)
  • tempSubst: efluent temperature in celsius (temperatura do substrato)
  • tempSolo: ground temperature in celsius (temperatura do solo)
  • umidGas: biogas humidity (umidade do biogás)
  • tempGas: biogas temperature in celsius (temperatura do biogás)
  • decDeBiogas: biogás production dm3 (decímetros cúbicos de biogás produzido)
  • volumeTotal: daily total volume produced (volume total produzido no dia)

Other details:

  • Columns with no suffix at all are for bio 1
  • Columns with suffix "B2" (nov/21 onwards) refers to bio 2 (measurements from both biodigestors combined in a single file)
  • 998 and 999 values are sensor errors and should be ignored/removed
