Olympic Cities Summary

This small file contains summary data for each modern Olympiad, from Athens 1896 untill Beijing 2022.
For each Olympiad, there is the total medals (gold, silver and bronze medals as well as gross total), total number of committees that participates, and total disciplines and events that took place. There also are coordinates for the cities, and country information, includind 3-letter ISO code. Each city also has the continent where it's located.

The original data is the Olympic medals dataset. This notebook explains the transformation process.

That notebook also shows an example usage, since it plots a choropleth map with countries and numper of Olympic games that took place.

Note: Previous versions of the dataset have been deleted and I created a new one. The reason is that Kaggle would not let me upload the new dataset as a new version...
