About this Dataset

South Korea Visitors

Context

This dataset deals with the visitors of foreigners into South Korea.
It includes foreigners(not Korean), overseas Koreans and crew members, except for some of the foreign arrivals who are not considered tourists (diplomats, soldiers, permanent residents, visiting cohabitation and residence).

The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) has compiled, analyzed, and provided statistics on foreign tourists visiting Korea and overseas tourists by type.
The data materials were prepared for the purpose of utilizing them as basic data for establishing tourism policies and marketing strategies.

I created this dataset by rebuilding the data provided by KTO for easy analysis.

Content

This data set is divided into three files (age, gender, and propose).

Common columns

date: Date (year - month)
nation: Country of departure
visitor: Number of visitors
growth: Growth percentage in the number of visitors compared to the same month last year
share: Percentage of all visitors in the month
