The Monetary and Financial Statistics (MFS), Central Bank dataset offers an analytical perspective on the central bank’s balance sheet, focusing on the monetary base and the central bank’s financial relationships with other economic sectors and nonresidents. This dataset is compiled using central bank sectoral balance sheet submitted by countries to the IMF using the standardized report forms (SRFs), specifically the 1SR form. The SRF compilation follows the methodological framework of the 2016 Monetary and Financial Statistics Manual and Compilation Guide (MFSMCG). While the central bank survey is available for all reporting countries, detailed 1SR data are only accessible for a subset of economies.
