HUD CHAS 2000 Census — Missouri

HUD's Comprehensive Housing Affordability Strategy (CHAS) data for the 2000 Census period, for Missouri. These are special tabulations of Census 2000 data obtained by HUD from the U.S. Census Bureau to support housing planning under the Consolidated Planning process.

The 2000 CHAS data include housing need variables split by HUD-defined income limits (30%, 50%, and 80% of area median income) and HUD-specified household types. The data are available at multiple geographic levels including state, county, minor civil division (MCD), place, consolidated city, Census Tract, and Block Group.

Note: The 2000 CHAS uses Decennial Census data rather than the ACS used in later CHAS releases. The structure differs significantly from the post-2009 ACS-based CHAS data.
