About this Dataset

US Births Dataset

This dataset contains two tables with daily birth counts in the United States.

The first table includes data from 1994 to 2003, provided by the CDC's National Center for Health Statistics.

The second table includes data from 2000 to 2014, provided by the Social Security Administration.

Both files record the year, month, day of the month, day of the week, and the number of births, allowing analysis of trends, seasonality, and birth patterns over time.
