This Eurostat dataset contains data on hospital discharges and length of stay for inpatient and curative care - historical data (until 2021), as collected and published by the Statistical Office of the European Union.

Tables included:

• raw: Original table as downloaded from Eurostat.
• tidy: A cleaned and transformed version of the raw table, where time period values appear as rows instead of columns (unpivoted format).
