This Eurostat dataset contains data on expenditure of the educational institutions by education level, programme orientation, type of institution and expenditure category, as collected and published by the Statistical Office of the European Union.

Tables included:

• raw: Original table as downloaded from Eurostat.
• tidy: A cleaned and transformed version of the raw table, where time period values appear as rows instead of columns (unpivoted format).
