This Eurostat dataset contains data on pupils from age 4 to the starting age of compulsory education at primary level by nuts 2 region - % of the population of the corresponding age, as collected and published by the Statistical Office of the European Union.

Tables included:

• raw: Original table as downloaded from Eurostat.
• tidy: A cleaned and transformed version of the raw table, where time period values appear as rows instead of columns (unpivoted format).
