This Eurostat dataset contains data on total and active population by sex, age, employment status, residence one year prior to the census and nuts 3 region, as collected and published by the Statistical Office of the European Union.

Tables included:

• tidy: A cleaned and transformed version of the raw table, where time period values appear as rows instead of columns (unpivoted format).
