Non-energy Commodity Price Index - NEC

The non-energy commodity price index includes raw materials that are traded internationally. The selection of raw materials was made on the basis of the Standard International Trade Classification (SITC) definition of “non-manufactured goods” as “unprocessed goods or goods at low stage of processing”. The items are listed in sections 0,1,2,4 as well as 68 of the SITC. For details on the change in naming conventions, you can find a one-to-one correspondence between the new and old naming conventions in the STS mapping file.
