Offset Credit Register

The offset credits component under the cap-and-trade system (SPEDE) offers individuals and businesses (promoters) the opportunity to carry out, on a voluntary basis, projects in sectors that are not covered by the carbon market, and to obtain offset credits from the government in exchange for the reductions or removals of greenhouse gas emissions from the atmosphere generated by their projects.

The Offset Credit Project Register is a public database containing information concerning projects submitted to the Minister under the offset credit component.

The data is presented in separate files:

• Register of offset credit projects;
• Offset credit issuance register.
