Dataset Description

This tabular dataset is the result of an analysis supporting the indicator 'Change in Snow Depth and Snow Water Content in BC (1950-2014)' published in Indicators of Climate Change for British Columbia (2015-16 Update) and on Environmental Reporting BC. The analysis used snow monitoring data from the B.C. Data Catalogue. The results data set includes station ID, location coordinates, station elevation (m), an estimate of long-term change in snow depth (depth) and snow water equivalent (swe) from 1950 to 2014 in percent per year and statistical significance of estimates. The ecoprovince data set includes an estimate of long-term change in snow depth (depth) and snow water equivalent (swe) from 1950 to 2014 in percent per year and statistical significance of estimates for each of the seven terrestrial ecoprovinces in British Columbia.
