This dataset contains long-format time series observations published by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) for program Occupational Injuries and Illnesses - Characteristics Data (cb).

It is organized into two tables:

1. time_series_data: Time series observations, one row per (series_id, year, period).
2. series_catalog: Descriptive metadata for each BLS series identifier.

The time_series_data table can be joined with the series_catalog table on series_id to enrich observations with descriptive attributes such as series title, coverage, and validity period.
