Dataset Description
This dataset includes commodity production volumes of natural resources by month. Monthly data contains only oil, gas, and coal, since these are high-volume commodities that result in the most revenue. Natural resources are extracted from federal lands, federal waters, and Native American lands. Federal production volumes are available by state, county, and offshore area. Location data is withheld for Native American data. The dataset is tracked and managed by the Department of the Interior’s Office of Natural Resources Revenue. It contains production data from January 2003-present.
