May 1st is Workers’ Day — but not everywhere (copy)
Most countries mark Labour Day on May 1st, honoring workers' rights and the 8-hour day. But some major economies don’t.
Not on May 1st (examples):
- Canada & United States: first Monday of September
- Ireland & UK: first Monday of May
- Japan: November 23 or 24
- Netherlands & Saudi Arabia: no official holiday
It’s global - but not as universal as you'd think.
