About this Dataset

Bitcoin Heist Ransomware Address Dataset

Context

There's a story behind every dataset and here's your opportunity to share yours.

Content

The authors of the paper(s) have parsed the entire Bitcoin transaction graph from 2009 January to 2018 December. They have extracted daily network transactions formed the Bitcoin graph (using a 24-hour time interval). All network edges that transfer less than B0.3 have been filtered out (since ransom amounts rarely fall below this threshold).

Ransomware addresses have been obtained from three widely adopted studies: Montreal, Princeton and Padua.
